Lucky 7

On July 7th at 7:17am I gave birth to our little boy weighing in at 7lbs. and 7oz. Needless to say that was the most intense and painful labor of love I have ever experienced in my life. You would think I could have got a better warning but the moment that little guy was placed on my chest all was forgiven. But all in all we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

It all started Monday night when we went to the hospital at 10pm to get checked out by the triage. I'd been having contraction through the day and thought this was it and low and behold we didn't get sent home! Woo hoo! So after signing some papers we were in our room around midnight. Which was just in time cause by 1am those contractions were coming on strong. By 5am, give or take, I was dilated to an 8 and in shear pain. Just after my midwife broke my water and a world of pain hit me! Not the actual rupture but how much it "helped" the contractios along. So although I was able to go without an epidural, sweet, I needed a little help to gain the strength to push. So a little dose of phentinol did the trick. And with just 30 minutes of pushing our little guy came into the world.

So we're all home now with only one night at the hospital and the cutest and healthiest little boy I could have asked for. I promise I'll post again soon but for now this will have to due. Until then we're going to enjoy every second with our baby boy. Who knew we could be capable of such a miracle!?!

I'm so happy for you two. There is nothing like having a little baby in the entire world. I'm thrilled that he is healthy. I know he will be happy because he was sent to a wonderful home.
