We are founders, along with our friends, of the Service for Life Foundation. It was established to help all of us, especially our hubby's, get extra humanitarian experience for their resume to help with med school. Well we are aimed at helping children in the US and mostly Latin based countries. So we had planned to go to Panama this summer since 2006. But we never thought we would go since it is so expensive. Derek's sister decided to go so we decided to look into it. Somehow we stumbled onto a great, and I mean G-R-E-A-T, fair for the tickets. That, coupled with our sky miles got us two round way trips to Panama during the week of our Anniversary. I still can't believe it! We'll be going a couple days before everyone and staying an extra few days after, giving us two weeks of fun and adventure.
This will be the best Anniversary gift we could have ever hoped for. I just can't believe how lucky and how blessed we are to be able to do this. I'm sure it will be our last until Derek finishes residency in six years. This sure got me out of my funk!
