Christmas Wrap Up

By far this year had to be one of my favorite Christmases. Besides all of the memories and fun one of my favorite things was our tree. Now we all now what effort it took to find the darn thing! Ha. But once we got home and adorned it with all our old fashioned trinkets it just felt like magic. It reminded me of the simple days where Christmas was just about family and the remembrance of our Savior. Where a tree, such as this, was gift enough to a little family.

To make it extra special my friend Kimber and I spent 8 hours together making homemade ornaments. Of course that's considering I'm very particular about the way I do things and wanted them perfect. Too bad I didn't have enough foresight to see my son and his friends ripping, smashing and basically   destroying them.

Oh well! It was still worth it. So just to share a glimpse of our humble Christmas, here are a few photos of some of my favorite things!

The Tree: We went with a red, green and brown theme. Reminiscent of the 1800's.

School Book Ornament: Although I'd probably be shunned for dismembering  books back in the day I just didn't have a budget to buy more books I wouldn't read. Oh well. I got my moneys worth, right?

Sphere ornament: So cute and so very time consuming. A circle hand die cut can be your best friend!

Little Toys: Just to make it more personal we adorned the tree with small toys we've received over the years.

  1. I'm going to have to steal your photo of the sphere, all the pictures I took turned out crappy. Wasn't your tree just whimsicle!?!
