A little Personal

So have you ever heard a song on the radio that just epitomized your relationship or feelings about your spouse? Most people probably have and chances are they danced to it at their wedding. Well I didn't! HA! The thing is my wedding day and love story, I think are special. Getting married in the temple was a big deal for me, especially for my Mother. Can I blame her? No, its not at all what she had ever imagined it would be. And the same can be said for me, but it was so much better. I know my faith is something my Mother and I don't always see eye to eye on but I know she will always respect the women I've become and be proud of me.

That all being said, the other week I finally found my song. It describes in every way my story and the love I have for my Mother and my Husband. It's called Mama's Song. In case you are one of the only people in the U.S that hadn't heard it, like me, here are the lyrics...

So to my Mother, I love you. I know you love me and you've always acted on love.

And to my husband, well you are an answer to my prayers. And I really think that I should be considered "12 day wife"! We, and I especially, have missed you tremendously. The last month has been tough, a lot tougher than I had thought it would be. Just 18 more hours and things will be the way they should be!

UPDATE: I was skeptical that Derek would see this post before we arrived in Utah so I didn't post it right away. But instead he logged into my email account and checked my flight itinerary!!!! Hm...surpise thuroughly ruined!
